Crossbones Graveyard is a disused post-medieval burial ground on Redcross Way in Southwark, not far from London Bridge. Up to 15,000 people are believed to have been buried there. It was closed in 1853. Since 1996 a group of people have turned it into a garden of remembrance, a place of peace in the heart of London.
