The church of St Michael at Lawhitton, Cornwall dates from the 15th century, although the tower, which unusually stands at the south side of the church, is 13th century. Much restoration was done during the Victorian period. Part of this restoration is the roof over the chancel in the north aisle, which is of hammerbeam structure and features six carved angels.
