{"id":540,"date":"2012-09-03T10:02:24","date_gmt":"2012-09-03T10:02:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reeddesign.co.uk\/wordpress\/?p=540"},"modified":"2012-11-14T16:59:00","modified_gmt":"2012-11-14T16:59:00","slug":"chrome-overtakes-firefox","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reeddesign.co.uk\/wordpress\/2012\/09\/03\/chrome-overtakes-firefox\/","title":{"rendered":"Chrome overtakes Firefox"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the first time Google&#8217;s Chrome browser has overtaken Firefox as being the most-used browser visiting the reeddesign.co.uk website according to the log files for August.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-543\" title=\"Most Used Browsers\" src=\"https:\/\/reeddesign.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Most_Used_Browsers1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The actual figures are close with Chrome at 27.96% and Firefox 27.68%. Firefox has been top of the table since 2008 when it shot past Internet Explorer going from 2% behind in July to 16% ahead in August.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly (and annoyingly) IE6 is still a significant proportion of the 13.5% of people still using IE &#8211; and surprisingly it&#8217;s ahead of IE7. That&#8217;s only about 25 page hits a day, but still significant.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-546\" title=\"IE Versions\" src=\"https:\/\/reeddesign.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/IE_Versions1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My personal preference is still for Firefox, which I&#8217;ve been using as my main browser since version 1 came out in late 2004.
