{"id":1727,"date":"2018-07-07T10:42:29","date_gmt":"2018-07-07T10:42:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reeddesign.co.uk\/wordpress\/?p=1727"},"modified":"2022-09-13T11:32:25","modified_gmt":"2022-09-13T11:32:25","slug":"truro-cathedral","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reeddesign.co.uk\/wordpress\/2018\/07\/07\/truro-cathedral\/","title":{"rendered":"Truro Cathedral"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While my car was being serviced during a recent trip to Cornwall I took the opportunity to do the photography for <a href=\"https:\/\/reeddesign.co.uk\/panoramas\/cornwall\/truro-cathedral.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a 360\u00b0 panoramic tour of Truro Cathedral<\/a>. The cathedral has a policy of allowing photography, but ask for a fee of \u00a35 to use a tripod &#8211; which seems very reasonable to me. I made six panoramas for the tour, the west front, the nave, crossing, chancel, St Mary&#8217;s aisle and the All Saints chapel behind the high altar.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/reeddesign.co.uk\/panoramas\/cornwall\/truro-cathedral.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"1728\" src=\"https:\/\/reeddesign.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/TruroCathedral.jpg\" alt=\"Truro Cathedral\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1728\" width=\"448\" height=\"311\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more-->I also took some photos of the amazing reredos. It was designed by J L Pearson (the cathedral architect) and sculpted by <span class=\"st\">Nathaniel Hitch<\/span> in Bath stone.<\/p>\n<p class=\"small\">Click on the images to see them was roped off as I&#8217;d loved to have seen and photographed some of the wood carving of Violet Pinwill.<\/p>\n<p>On the same trip I also made 360\u00b0 panoramas of the parish churches at <a href=\"https:\/\/reeddesign.co.uk\/panoramas\/cornwall\/temple.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Temple<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/reeddesign.co.uk\/panoramas\/cornwall\/north-hill.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Hill<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/reeddesign.co.uk\/panoramas\/cornwall\/south-hill.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">South Hill<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/reeddesign.co.uk\/panoramas\/cornwall\/upton-cross.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Upton Cross<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While my car was
